RETURN TO PLAY - PRE-SEASON STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING STARTS WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2, 2020.
Beginning 11/2/20, Exeter Union High School will begin outdoor athletic conditioning.
Parents and/or students will receive an email with more information and a Google Form that will need to be filled out in order to participate in conditioning. This form will be used by coaches to put athletes in groups, not larger than 14 (including coach).
All student-athletes MUST GET ATHLETIC CLEARANCE in order to participate in conditioning, including getting an athletic physical. Physicals are valid for one calendar year. Athletic packets can be picked up in the front office and should be returned back to the front office.
All students should also work to make sure they are academically eligible (2.0 GPA) by the end of the second grading period, November 6, 2020.
Coaches will contact athletes via email with practice times and locations within the next week.
Attending these pre-season strength and conditioning sessions is optional and does not guarantee that an athlete makes the team, gets more playing time, or has a better chance at playing his/her desired position.
Per the Governor's Office and Tulare County Health Department, athletes will be required to take a daily pre-participation COVID-19 health check, wear a mask (unless exercising), maintain a social distance of 6 feet, and bring their own water from home. Locker rooms will also not be available. At this time, the swimming pool is also closed.
At this time, we are making preparations for cross country, football, cheer, volleyball, and water polo to begin practicing in December. However, in order to begin this "fall" season as scheduled, all students would have to be released by local and state agencies to return back to normal, in-person schooling.
